Hey friends!
In case you missed the announcement video, I was picked as a blog host for the Winter Biannual Bibliothon and my host day in Monday, January 14th.
I got to help with the winter bibib last year and it was such a blast, and I am SO excited to be helping out again!
For my host day, we’re going to be revisiting the nostalgia of Madlibs, but with a bookish spin!
For those of you not familiar with Madlibs (or it’s been a while since you’ve played one), Madlibs are short stories where certain words are missing. Here’s an example:
To play these, you get the list of word prompts first (a list that asks for an adjective, a number, a plural noun, etc.) and then after you fill in that list you plug the words in the story and enjoy the wacky story you’ve created.
On the morning of the 14th (around 8am PST), I’ll be uploading the list of prompts for your words. You’ll be able to come up with your word list and can either comment them on my original post or just have them on standby. Later in the day (around 12pm PST), I’ll be uploading the story for you all to plug the words into!
The reason this will be two different posts is that part of the fun of Madlibs is that you don’t know the context of the words. You just pick words and see how they word in the story.
There will be an INTERNATIONAL GIVEAWAY for those who participate!
To enter:
Post your completed story either on your blog and link it to me OR post your completed story in the comments on my SECOND post! Please also include what country you’re from and either your instagram or twitter handle so I can contact you if you won.
And to keep things fair, only one entry per person please!
Winners must be 18 or older, or have parents permission and must be willing to give me their address (so I can ship them their prize).
The prizes:
US entrants: a signed, Barnes and Noble edition of Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan!
International entrants: One (1) book of your choice from Book Depository, up to $20USD (Book Depository MUST ship to you to be considered).
The winners will be announced on January 28th!
I am SO excited to see what stories you all come up with!
If you have any additional questions, please let me know below!
I’m excited for this but it will be extra confusing with being in different time zones

I am so excited about this challenge, I love how creative and different it is. I just wish I knew the story and things beforehand, I’m the type of person who likes to draft and schedule posts ahead of time when I can.
