Happy July!🎆 I hope you’re all having a great start to your summer. I can’t get over how fast June went by and how many things are happening.
One of the super exciting things that’s happening is that I’m participating in the Summer Blog Promo Tour hosted by the lovely ladies over at the Book Bratz! The #SBPT will be going on for the remainder of the summer and was created as a way to help bloggers connect, collab, and support each other!
For the next several weeks, I will be collabing with the lovely Amanda from Give Me Coffee Give Me Books!

My name is Amanda. I am a brand new book blogger just trying to figure out how all of this works. I reside in West Michigan minutes from Lake Michigan, I love all things books, coffee, and chocolate peanut butter. I believe Sirius Black is one of the greatest characters ever created, and I’m not ashamed to admit I have a huge crush on Edward Cullen.
For the majority of this year, I have been reading mostly YA contemporary fiction & romance and trashy adult romance novels. I go through phases with my reading and haven’t been able to get back on the fantasy or sci-fi bandwagon, but hope that Becky is able to suggest some that will get me back to those genres I once craved. A few summers ago I wanted to just read all of the dystopian trilogies I could get my hands on; some of my favorites were Delirium, Matched, and Everland. This year’s YA favorites include One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus, Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills, and Nice Try, Jane Sinner by Lianna Oelke.
You can also find my beginner’s #bookstram skills on Instagram. Like Becky, I also have a book subscription box obsession. I’ve cut down on my habit to just Owlcrate and a children’s subscription for my daughter, as well as Dolly Parton’s monthly book for kids. There’s just something so fun about getting a book in the mail. I also scavenge local used bookstores, the local library annual sales, I frequent (way more than I should) our Barnes and Noble, and I also get a ton of books to read through DonorsChoose, as I have a goal of one day covering every available wall space in my classroom with high-interest books (I’m well on my way – my classroom library is legit!).
It’s finally warm enough (it’s actually crazy hot right now) to read outdoors, which is my absolute favorite. When I am not reading, I am also a mother to a high-energy two and a half-year-old, Lennon. My husband and I watch a lot of really trashy reality television, we have a Jack Russell Terrier named Genevieve, and I am a middle school English teacher. Additionally, I coach high school varsity sideline and competitive cheer. Finding time to read and blog is not always easy, but I really look forward to learning a thing or two from Becky!
