Hi everyone!
OwlCrate has seriously stepped up their game. I’ve always been a fan, but this month’s box is probably my new favorite! If you want your own OwlCrate box, you can subscribe by clicking here. Single boxes and past boxes also available on the website (more details at the bottom of the post!).
Just an FYI, there has been a waitlist for OwlCrate for the past few months, but they recently were able to open up more spots! Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss out! Last count was less than 30 available boxes!
If you’d rather watch the unboxing, you can check out my YouTube video here:
January’s theme was FEARSOME FAIRY TALES
🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♂️SPOILERS FOR THE JANUARY 2018 BOX🧚🏻♂️🧚🏻♀️
The contents of this month’s box were:
🧚🏻♂️ To get us in the fairy tale spirit, our first was gingerbread scented wax melts from Spireside Candles. This is the item OwlCrate teased us about in the December sneak peek and I cannot wait to burn these! I love way melts and have missed having them. Oh and if you watch the video above, you get to see my fangirl over this for like 3 minutes.
🧚🏻♀️Now you can’t burn wax melts without the proper burner, and OwlCrate hooked us up with this gorgeous wax melt. I think it’s stunning and cannot wait to use it! My wax melter is in MN and I haven’t been able to get it out here yet, so being able to use wax melts again is going to be so much fun!
🧚🏻♂️ Gorgeous handmade bracelet from Authored Adornments which features a quote from Rapunzel. I’m usually not a bracelet kind of girl, but this is the kind of bracelet that makes me want to give them a shot again.
🧚🏻♀️ Stunning full sized pillowcase from Stella’s Bookish Art with the quote “Once Upon a Dream” inspired by Sleeping Beauty. I am officially obsessed with this pillowcase and will probably use it forever…or never use it so it doesn’t get ruined. But yeah, gorgeous.
🧚🏻♂️ And a gorgeous art print from Anne Lamblet inspired by Little Red Riding Hood. I desperately need to get a place in my apartment figured out to display all my prints, because there are so many gorgeous ones I need to display.
🧚🏻♀️ Our book for this month was The Cruel Prince by Holly Black! OwlCrate hooked us up with a gorgeous exclusive cover and SIGNED book! I love how different this cover is from the original, but am a bit disappointed it isn’t raised (if I have to nitpick something). I’m not sure what cover I like the most, so the only option is to own multiple copies lol. Also, the next SIX OwlCrate books will be signed! We also got a letter from the author and exclusive sticker.
🧚🏻♂️ The last two items were our monthly newsletter. I love that they’ve been including these. We also got the hint card to get us hyped for next month.
💫🍄Book Prediction!🍄💫
One thing I love to do is to try to guess the book for the following month.
February’s theme is Hidden Worlds!
Hint: “Our book pick is a very highly anticipated story about a girl who has to venture deep into a sinister land of fairy tales in an effort to rescue her mother. It’s deliciously dark and twisted!”
I think the book will be The Hazel Wood by Marissa Albert.
What do you think the book is going to be? Let me know in the comments!
What did you think of the contents of this month’s box?
Interested in March’s box? You can subscribe to OwlCrate here.* Just note, numbers are limited and they are projected to sell out.
You can purchase one box to try them out or subscribe to one of three plans (monthly, 3 months, or 6 months) starting at $29.99! Normally I include the discount code OwlCrate provides, but I couldn’t find it for this month. Fortunately, there are several other codes from BookTubers and Bookstagrammers available. If you would like any suggestions, be sure to comment below!
Also, I just saw that OwlCrate now lets you buy just the book from past boxes. If you’re interested in one of the exclusive covers, you can snag one here.
*The above link is a referral link any OwlCrate subscriber can get. I make no profit if you subscribe. I’m just trying to spread the book love!*
I’m so excited to get my first OwlCrate!
