Hey friends,
So, November is a hot mess. What a shock. But I did successfully complete the scallywagathon! Yay! I slightly redid my TBR, but I did manage to read four books.
The books I read for scallywagathon were:
So as a reminder, there were a bunch of challenges and you used this map to create your TBR.
I go into more detail in my TBR post, but the path I decided to start with Number 5: Open Waters – Blue on the cover. For this I read P. S. I Like You by Kasie West (⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 3/5 Stars)
Following the map, I then had two choices (6 or 8), I decided to go with Number 8: Tell It To The Parrot – Overhyped Book. For this, I read The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater. (⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 3.5/5 Stars)
After this read, I was able to pick A or C and I decided to go with A: A Standalone. For this, I read Genuine Fraud by E. Lockhart. (⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 3/5 Stars)
Lastly, I was able to pick 9 or 10. The book I read could have fit with either, but I’m going to put it with Number 10: Read in One Day. This book was Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Life, the first book in the Scott Pilgrim graphic novel series. (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 4/5 Stars)
These books weren’t my favorite (with the exception of Scott Pilgrim), but I’m thrilled that I was able to complete this readathon.

Switching gears, the contemporaryathon has already started, but I’m just super late on getting my TBR up. I downloaded a bunch of audiobooks to help with the reading process since this is a slightly busy week.
As a refresher, here are the challenges for this readathon:
Challenges:
- Read the most recent contemporary book you purchased/acquired
- Read an adult contemporary
- Read a contemporary that has characters on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum
- Read a romance that is 5 years old or older
- Read a contemporary that (to the best of your knowledge) is NOT set during the summer
- Read a dark/taboo contemporary
- Buddy read a book with someone OR read the group book!

The books I’m planning to read are:
The Hating Game by Sally Thorne (2)
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins (4)
The Perks of Being a Wall Flower by Stephen Chbosky (3, 5, 6)
Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy (5?)
Wilde in Love by Eloisa James (1, 2)
I put numbers after each book for which challenge(s) they fulfill! Some of them, I’m not 100% sure on though, so I’ll be sure to update you all when the readathon is over!
For those of you stumped on what to read, Chelsea (one of the co-hosts) created this awesome recommendations video:
