Happy May, everyone! I hope you all had a great April. Like I said in my last post, I had a super busy April and it looks like I’m going to have a super busy May. My first year of grad school is wrapping up this month.
That being said, here are the four books I’m hoping to read this month:
Revenants: The Odyssey Home by Scott Kauffman
I want to start off by giving a HUGE thank you to Scott, who reached out me and sent me a copy of this book. I usually don’t read that much historical fiction, but I am a HUGE fan of Homer’s the Odyssey and am thrilled to check out this retelling.
Wink Poppy Midnight by April Genevieve Tucholke
I saw this book’s cover on Facebook and thought the cover looked super pretty. When I was at The Strand last month, I picked it up. I really don’t know what this one is about, but I’m excited to check it out!
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
I’ve heard a few BookTubers talk about this one and have heard some mixed reviews. Regardless, I’m super excited to check it out. I think the concept is pretty cool. From what I understand, it’s like Hunger Games in a video game setting.
Heartless by Marissa Meyer
I’m so mad that this is on here. I LOVE Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and am a sucker for a good retelling (especiallyย princess and Alice ones) and I will be checking this one out this month. This story is a prequel for the Queen of Hearts. That’s pretty much all I know about it. I tend to go into books pretty clueless to avoid too much hype.
What are your May TBRs? Let me know in the comments!
